When the San Francisco Giants won the World Series in 2014, their front office received a treat from the previous champions Boston Red Sox. The Red Sox sent over a few pizzas to the Giants staff as a congratulatory gesture.

The following year when the Kansas City Royals captured their first World Series title in 30 years, the Giants sent over some pizza to the Royals. This was the start of the coolest tradition in baseball.

A day after the Houston Astros won their first World Series Championship; they also took home their first ever World Series pizza from the Chicago Cubs.

Getting a World Series ring and a free pizza? Doesn’t sound like a bag gig at all. combining the two best things in life, baseball and pizza. But what happens if a team repeats? Do they send themselves pizza?

Regardless, the Astros enjoyed their pizza, in addition to their World Series victory. The only question is who they will eventually send pizza to, continuing the tradition.
