The best gifts for baseball dads fall into five categories: a warm layer for cold bleachers, something that says "baseball dad" on purpose, gear for the dad who still plays, comfort for tournament weekends, and a few small things he'll use right away. Below is why each one works, what to look for, our pick and what to pair it with. If you'd rather go straight to the products, our Gifts for Baseball Dads page has every pick with prices and sizes.
Baseball dads are hard to shop for because they already have the gear. He has the camp chair, the bucket of balls and a closet full of team shirts from three seasons ago. What he doesn't have is something picked out just for him.

The Five Gifts Every Baseball Dad Can Use
A warm layer for cold bleachers
Fall ball, early spring games and 7 a.m. tournament starts all mean sitting still in the cold. A good hoodie is the thing he'll reach for every weekend, and most dads won't spend $70 on one for themselves.
What to look for: Heavyweight fleece, a fit with room to layer over a tee, and a design he'd wear off the field too.
Our pick:
- BL101 Bat Co. Hoodie ($69.99). Made for the dad who taught him to swing, stocked in S through 3XL. There's a youth version too, in limited sizes, if dad and son want to match.
Pair it with:
- Pro Series Active Pants – Black ($64.99). Stretch pants that hold up to a full day of sitting, standing and chasing foul balls. They're stocked in S through 2XL.
Something that says "baseball dad: on purpose
He's proud of it, so let him show it. A gift that names the role gets worn more than a generic team shirt, and it's the easiest kind of gift for the kids to give.
What to look for: A design that reads clearly from the stands, and a youth version so the kids can match
Our pick:
- Greatest Dads Athletic Tee ($31.99). It says what every player is thinking.
- Upside Down Baseball Hat – Cream/Black ($34.99). The text is upside down on purpose, and someone will ask him about it at every field.
Pair it with:
- Greatest Dads Athletic Youth Tee ($31.99). The same tee in youth sizes, so the gift comes with a matching one for the player.
Gear for the dad who still plays
Plenty of baseball dads still throw batting practice, play catch in the backyard or play in a men's league. Gear that moves with him beats another fan shirt.
What to look for: Short sleeves or no sleeves for a full arm swing, moisture-wicking fabric, and performance shorts with room to move.
Our pick:
- BSBL-SZN Short Sleeve Hoodie V2 – Black/Light Blue ($49.99). Short sleeves for a full arm swing and a hood for a cool morning. Black/Light Blue is the easiest colorway to give if you're not sure of his taste.
Pair it with:
- Pro Series Shorts V2 – Navy/Light Blue ($54.99). Our performance shorts, stocked in S through 2XL. The navy works with the black and light blue hoodie without matching it exactly.
Small things he'll use right away
Stocking stuffers work best when they're things he goes through, not things he'll display.
What to look for: Something useful, with no size to get wrong.
Our pick:
- Crew Performance Poly Socks 6-Pack – Black ($24.99). Six pairs of cushioned crew socks. It's the least exciting gift here and the one he'll use first.
Pair it with:
- An arm sleeve ($14.99) if he throws batting practice.
- A BL101 e-gift card from $25 if you're not sure what he has.
Gift Sets That Save You a Decision
- The Baseline Bundle: a Baseline Hoodie plus Baseline Joggers or Straight-Leg Sweatpants, mixed sizes allowed, for about 20% less than buying them separately.

How to Get His Size Right
Our adult fits run true, with a slightly boxier body. If he wears a large in a regular tee, order a large. If you're guessing on a hoodie, go one size up, since a roomy hoodie is better than a tight one. Every product page has a measured size chart and sizing software, and the hat, socks and gift card have no sizing to get wrong. Want even more? Check out our Perfect Fit Guide.
