On October 19, 2018, Baseball Lifestyle 101 and KD Custom Kicks launched their first ever sneaker collaboration at Renarts in South Huntington, New York. The event featured a DJ, free food, exclusive access to the collaboration, and in-store giveaways and discounts.
This event, though the first of its kind, exceeded all expectations in turnout and all 20 pairs of the collaboration sold out within 45 minutes of release.
At the event, Anthony Delucia of KD Custom Kicks impressed crowds with an in-person painting of a pair of cleats that were then given away in the event’s raffles. These cleats are one of a kind and were created specifically with this event in mind. The cleat’s lucky winner, Aaron Larkin, expressed his excitement to display them alongside other baseball memorabilia.
In addition to the cleats giveaway, Baseball Lifestyle 101 partnered with Steiner Sports and Victus Bats to giveaway a signed ball and a handcrafted wood bat designed around the event. Mom of the Year, Jody, attended the event in place of her son who was playing a game that night. Not only did Jody leave with the first sold pair of the sneakers, but she also won the custom Victus Bat for her son.
With the success of this event, we will be hosting future releases and similar events in the future. We’re excited to see you there!
